Colin Currie Group’s World Premiere Recording of Steve Reich’s Quartet will be released by Nonesuch on 2 February 2018. The recording will be available on CD, vinyl, digital download and streaming services. Also featured on the release is Reich’s Pulse, performed by the International Contemporary Ensemble.

Quartet was composed especially for the Colin Currie Group; they gave the world premiere in 2014 at the Southbank Centre before touring the work throughout Europe. The world premiere was critically acclaimed, the Guardian praising the performance: “unassuming virtuosity and a well-nigh faultless sense of ensemble… at once hypnotic and thrilling”.
