The Southbank Centre announced its 2019/20 season this week and revealed that the Colin Currie Group will give four special performances of Steve Reich Drumming in the Hayward Gallery on 6 and 7 December as part of the Centre’s International Chamber Music Series.

The performances will recreate the piece’s UK premiere, which took place at the Hayward Gallery in 1972, and are complemented by the gallery’s retrospective of the work of photographer Bridget Riley. Audiences will have half an hour to explore the exhibition before the concerts.
