Colin Currie Group release Reich recordings and make their Italian debut in Milan

The Colin Currie Group release two Spatial Audio remasters of their most significant early Steve Reich recordings on Colin Currie Records in the coming weeks, ahead of Reich’s 90th birthday in 2026. The first will be Drumming, released on Friday 7 March, and then Colin Currie & Steve Reich Live at Fondation Louis Vuitton on Friday 11 April.

Friday 14 March will also see the landmark release of the world premiere recording of another of Steve Reich’s works, Traveler’s Prayer, recorded by the Colin Currie Group at Tokyo Opera City in April 2023. This recording forms part of a box set of Reich’s works called Steve Reich Collected Works, which is released by Nonesuch Records.

The Group will then be performing an all-Reich programme at the Società del Quartetto di Milano on 18 March, which excitingly marks their Italian debut.
