Two sold-out concerts at Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg at Minimal Festival

Following their concert at London’s Royal Festival Hall and their recording of Drumming, Colin Currie Group travel to Hamburg to make their debut in the opening season of Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie with two sold-out performances of music by Steve Reich on 11 and 12 May.

The performances feature as part of the venues ‘Maximal Minimal’ festival, a celebration of Minimalist music, featuring performances of music by Steve Reich, Michael Gordon,  Philip Glass and Terry Riley.

On Thursday 11 May Colin Currie Group perform Music for Pieces of Wood, Sextet and Drumming. On Friday 12 May Colin Currie and Steve Reich will perform Clapping Music followed by the Group performing Music for 18 Musicians.
