Colin Currie releases the third recording on his critically acclaimed label on 12 April.

The Edinburgh International Festival have announced their line-up for 2019 which features a performance by Colin Currie Group of Sofia Gubaidulina’s concerto for percussion quintet and orchestra, Glorious Percussion.

Colin Currie & Steve Reich Live at Fondation Louis Vuitton will be released on 12 April and is available for pre-order now.

The Southbank Centre announced its 2019/20 season this week and revealed that the Colin Currie Group will give four special performances of Steve Reich Drumming in the Hayward Gallery on 6 and 7 December as part of the Centre’s International Chamber Music Series.

The Colin Currie Quartet will perform at the East Neuk Festival, Fife on 29 June this year. Repertoire includes Steve Reich Mallet Quartet and Drumming Part 1, Kevin Volans Four Marimbas  and Graeme Leak Sea Interludes.

The Boston Globe named Drumming as one of their top 11 classical albums of 2018.

After their highly successful concert with Steve Reich in 2016, the Colin Currie Group returns to Corn Exchange on 21 November as part of the Cambridge Music Festival. 

The Colin Currie Quartet will make their first-ever performance in Southeast Asia this November with a concert featuring the music of Steve Reich in Singapore.

This season Colin launches the Colin Currie Quartet, formed of some of the core members of the Colin Currie Group and long-time collaborators of Currie, Sam Walton, Adrian Spillett and Owen Gunnell.

The Colin Currie Quartet was formed in 2018 by Colin Currie to present the diverse works written for percussion quartet. The group is made up of Colin Currie, Owen Gunnell, Adrian Spillett and Sam Walton, who form the core of the Colin Currie Group.

Colin Currie Group performed at the BBC Proms on 15 July as part of a celebration to mark 40 years of the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition.

Colin returns to the BBC Proms on 15 July 2018 to perform at the BBC Young Musician 40th Anniversary celebration. The concert features musicians from the competition’s 40 year history including Nicola Benedetti, Sheku Kanneh-Mason as well as this year’s winner, Lauren Zhang.

The Colin Currie Group perform Steve Reich Music for Pieces of Wood and Part 1 of Drumming at Forum am Schlosspark Ludwigsburg on 22 June.

Colin Currie Group perform Steve Reich’s Tehillim at the Barbican Centre‘s Sounds and Visions, a weekend curated by Max Richter and Yulia Mahr. The performance marks the group’s debut at the Barbican.

Colin Currie Group members Owen Gunnell, Adrian Spillett, Sam Walton and Colin Currie perform Steve Reich’s Drumming  [Part 1] at this years’ BBC Proms on 15 July.

Colin Currie Group’s World Premiere Recording of Steve Reich’s Quartet will be released by Nonesuch on 2 February 2018. The recording will be available on CD, vinyl, digital download and streaming services. Also featured on the release is Reich’s Pulse, performed by the International Contemporary Ensemble.
